1. Who we are

PathCamp ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered personalised learning platform operated from Nigeria. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at me@emmanuelemenike.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Account information: Your name and email address, collected when you create an account via Clerk.
Learning activity: The skills you choose to learn, the paths you create, lessons completed, XP earned, and progress milestones. This is used to personalise your experience and power the adaptive learning engine.
Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Paystack. PathCamp does not store your card number or bank details — Paystack handles all payment data under their own security standards.

We do not collect any other personal information.

3. How we use your information

To create and manage your account.
To generate and personalise your AI learning paths.
To track your progress, XP, streaks, and achievements.
To process subscription payments via Paystack.
To send transactional emails (e.g. account verification, billing receipts).
To improve the PathCamp product based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

4. Third-party services

PathCamp uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Clerk

Authentication — manages your sign-in, account, and session security.

OpenAI

AI engine — generates your learning roadmaps, lessons, and tutor responses.

Paystack

Payments — handles subscription billing and payment processing.

Vercel

Hosting — serves the PathCamp web application.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authentication managed by Clerk, and payment processing by Paystack's PCI-compliant infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information to the best of our ability.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PathCamp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
